 Internet

Why did the internet catch on? The answer is simple the internet allows fast and easy spread of information and communication with people all around the world. The pioneers for this technology would be people or groups like the ARPA, Vincent Cerf, Robert Kahn, and Tim Lee. These people created the technology and made the internet accessible to everyone. The early adopters would be people in the workforce specifically at the company CERN where the internet was created. The early majority would be younger generations and people whose jobs were made way easier by having the internet. The late adopters might be older generations who don't find it to be necessary or helpful in their lives. The laggers would be even older generations of people who don't understand it and don't need it in their lifestyle. There are both positives and negatives to the internet. Some negatives are children have access to inappropriate content, the internet browser you use can track everything you have ever searched, and your information can be stolen through viruses. However most people believe the positives outway the negatives. With the internet we have limitless information at the tip of our fingers. We now have more ways to communicate and exchange ideas with people all around the world. When creating the internet it was a big risk people were not sure about this new idea. However the benefits outweighed the costs and risks. This technology has changed the world forever and allowed for even more new technologies like Facebook, Snapchat, Instant Message etc.
